EU-hosted processing
Silestis runs on Cloudflare's edge network in the EU. Audio is extracted and transcribed close to where it's processed, and results are stored in Cloudflare R2. For universities, research teams, and EU companies with GDPR obligations, keeping audio inside the EU is a first-class requirement — not an afterthought.
Files deleted after transcription
Once a transcription finishes, the source audio file is deleted. What stays in your account is the useful output — the transcript, AI notes, chapters, flashcards, and chat history — so you can keep searching and asking questions without re-uploading. The raw media itself is not retained.
Never used for AI training
We do not sell or share your data, and your recordings and transcripts are never used to train models. The AI models transcribe and answer — they don't learn from your private content.

Where is my data processed and stored?

Are my uploaded files kept?
No. Source audio files are deleted after transcription completes. Your transcript, notes, chats, and flashcards remain in your account so you can keep working with them, but the raw media is not retained.
Do you use my recordings to train AI models?
No. We do not sell or share your data, and your recordings and transcripts are not used to train models. Your content is yours.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your transcripts is gated to your account, and shared links are only accessible to people you explicitly share them with.
